Alexandre Paquin-Pelletier
Biography
Alexandre studies the rise anti-minority mobilization in post-transition Indonesia. In 2013 he was a visiting researcher at the Center for the Study of Islam and Society at the State Islamic University (Jakarta). He has conducted fieldwork in Indonesia and Myanmar. He is currently working on his dissertation and a book about the institutionalization of ethnic and religious minority rights in Myanmar. Forthcoming publication includes: “Violent monks in Myanmar: scapegoating and the contest for power” (with Jacques Bertrand).
