Professor Joseph Wong honoured during the Faculty of Arts & Science Outstanding Achievement Awards at Hart House

On April 16th, Professor Wong received a 2012–13 Faculty of Arts & Science Outstanding Teaching Award presented by Dean Meric Gertler during a reception at Hart House. A Professor of Political Science and Canada Research Chair in Democratization, Health and Development, Professor Wong was nominated by his students with full support and endorsement from the Department.

Joe Wong is known to students, faculty and staff for his outstanding teaching and mentorship of students. In a recent article for the Munk School of Global Affairs, Sarah Eaton, a PhD student under Professor Wong’s supervision said that she “appreciates that in trying to motivate and reassure his doctoral students, he draws a lot from his experiences in really honest, practical and often very funny ways.”

The Department of Political Science would like to congratulate Professor Joseph Wong again for this prestigious award and thank him for his continued dedication to student teaching and success.
